Unibep SA with an innovative product used in road construction
“Roads of the Future – Will Artificial Intelligence Replace Humans?” was the topic of this year’s edition of the Warmińsko–Mazurskie Road Forum, which took place on 15-17 September in Warchały.
The event, organised by the Polish Road Congress Association and the Voivodship Roads Authority in Olsztyn, brought together over 100 road industry specialists, becoming a key platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences. Unibep SA was a partner of the event.
During the conference Przemysław Kulmaczewski, head of the laboratory department at the Unibep SA Infrastructure Branch, presented a technical paper titled “Mineral-cement mixture with foamed asphalt (MCAS) employed in the project: Expansion of national road No. 65 on the Gołdap – the beginning of Gołdap’s ring road section, in Warmińsko–Mazurskie Voivodeship.”
This presentation was the result of close collaboration with the Świętokrzyska Polytechnic, exemplifying the synergy between the business world and academia. This project highlighted how the combination of academic knowledge with the industry experience of Unibep SA translates into innovative and sustainable solutions in road infrastructure, particularly in Warmińsko–Mazurskie voivodeship, where Unibep actively works on numerous road investments and operates two mineral-asphalt mixtures plants, which are a crucial component in supporting regional infrastructure projects.
Among the topics discussed were issues related to the future of road construction and artificial intelligence in transportation. The event concluded with a panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges associated with the development of AI in the transportation sector.
The Warmińsko–Mazurskie Road Forum is one of the most important industry events in Poland, allowing participants to exchange experiences and seek innovative solutions for the future of road infrastructure in the Warmia and Mazury region. The Unibep SA Infrastructure Branch is ready to undertake new investments and implement modern technologies that can contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
