Unibep joined IGEOS
Pursuant to the resolution of the Management Board of the Polish Chamber of Power Industry and Environmental Protection adopted on 15 November 2023, the company Unibep has been admitted as a member of IGEOS. “We are ready to cooperate with other Chamber members to engage in discussions on innovative solutions and best practices in the fields of energy and environmental protection. Together, we hope to have a real impact on the future of the Polish energy sector,” said Przemysław Janiszewski, Member of the Management Board of Unibep and Director of Power & Industry Construction.
As a company operating in the energy market since December 2021, Unibep has quickly gained solid experience in implementing turnkey investment projects. The company successfully competes in tenders aiming at the modernisation and transformation of the energy sector in Poland. Unibep is currently implementing such projects across almost the entire Poland, in Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Podlaskie, Mazowieckie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Łódzkie, Dolnośląskie, Śląskie, and Opolskie voivodeships.
“In our activities, we focus on the principles of the green economy, which include, among others, the construction of municipal waste incineration plants, cogeneration installations, gas boilers, district heating systems, as well as projects involving the transformation and modernisation of existing coal-fired systems into low-emission systems,” said Krzysztof Panek, Energy Market Director at Unibep.
In Orzysz, Ełk, and Hajnówka, we are working as the general contractor on several biomass projects. We are modernising and constructing heat plants that will be equipped with modern biomass-powered boilers.
In Warsaw, Unibep is implementing a demanding project that involves designing, supplying, assembling, and then commissioning and delivering for use a flue gas condensation installation for the biomass-powered K1 boiler at the Siekierki CHP Plant. The ordering party is PGNiG Termika.
In turn, in Włocławek, on the request of Anwil from the Orlen SA Capital Group, the general contractor is responsible for the construction and commissioning of a medium-pressure steam boiler plant. The investment will include three small industrial boiler units with a total maximum net capacity of 150 tons of steam per hour.
Unibep is equally strongly interested in renewable energy projects. Currently, it is working on two projects at different stages of completion. Parallel to the project in Szymany (two facilities with a capacity of 1 MWp each), we are building a solar farm in Łódzkie voivodeship with a capacity of 1 MWp. Both investments are expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
The scope of services offered by Unibep in the power and industrial sector also includes the supply and installation of supporting technologies and installations, as well as service works: commissioning of installations, maintenance work (cleaning of systems), inspections, equipment repairs, and emergency repairs.
“We are proud of our new membership in the Polish Chamber of Power Industry and Environmental Protection. By joining this prestigious association, we confirm that Unibep aims to develop sustainably in accordance with environmental protection principles. We are ready to cooperate with other Chamber members to engage in discussions on innovative solutions and best practices in the fields of energy and environmental protection. Together, we hope to have a real impact on the future of the Polish energy sector,” said Przemysław Janiszewski, Member of the Management Board of Unibep and Director of Power & Industry Construction.
