Ruszyła nowa wytwórnia mieszanek mineralno-asfaltowych koło Szczytna!

Over 150 tons; This is the amount of mineral-asphalt mixtures the newly opened plant of Unibep SA in Lipowa Góra Wschodnia near Szczytno can produce in just one hour. This is where on 9 September on a picturesque plot of land with a space of 3.3 ha, a new plant manufacturing mineral-asphalt mixtures was officially opened.

The Infrastructure Branch of Unibep SA has completed a strategic investment, the mineral-asphalt mixtures plant in Lipowa Góra near Szczytno. The official opening of the plant was attended by representatives of the regional office of the administrative district of Szczytno, the authorities of Szczytno headed by the mayor Krzysztof Mańkowski, representatives of General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways Branch in Olsztyn, and cooperating companies.

During the meeting, President of the Management Board of Unibep SA Leszek Gołąbiecki presented the Unibep Group with all its segments of activity. “We are aware that we have still a lot of work to be done in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship to be a strong brand here. We have such ambition and I hope that we will cooperate to reach it,” said the president.

In turn, Member of the Management Board of Unibep SA and Director of the Infrastructure Branch Adam Poliński spoke about the development of this segment in this area. “I would like to mention that yesterday we signed an agreement for implementation of an investment in Olsztyn,” he said. “We have competent staff and equipment for rebuilding roads in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.”

The plant of mineral-asphalt mixtures in Lipowa Góra has been the second plant launched by the Infrastructure Branch of Unibep SA in Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. Unibep Group has four plants manufacturing masses used in construction, mainly in north-eastern Poland.

Video report from the opening:

The new plant has been equipped with eight new aggregate dispensers (hoppers) while in other plants we only have 6 such dispensers. It is of great importance when changing recipes, allowing us to save valuable time and increase efficiency. A larger dryer and filter are installed, which translates into machine efficiency. There are new flour and dust tanks and three asphalt tanks. The asphalt pipelines have been prepared in such a way to allow for expansion of the asphalt storage facility. There is a new installation for cold dosing of reclaimed material. The installation for dosing special additives (cellulose granules) has been equipped with a control system identical to that used in our other plants. “Unification of the control system allows operators to move between plants without the need to learn how to work with different systems,” pointed out Paving Plant Manager Dariusz Kmieć who is involved in the launch of the new production plant.
