Unibep will build the ring road for Bielsk Podlaski
On Thursday 14 April 2022, was signed a contracts worth approx. PLN 63.2 million net i.e., approx. PLN 77.7 million gross. We will design and build for General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways in Białystok a three-kilometre section of the southern part of the ring road in Bielsk Podlaski on the national road DK 66. The contractor will be consortium of Unibep, Budrex, and Value Engineering. The agreement was signed on behalf of the company by Adam Poliński, Infrastructure Director and member of the board of Unibep SA. Local government officials, voivode and parliament members attended the event.
We are obliged to complete the investment within 32 months from conclusion of the agreement. Winter periods from 16 December to 15 March are excluded from time of construction works. The application for permit (so-called ZRID, permission for implementation of a road investment) has been scheduled by the consortium for the first quarter of 2023, implementation for years 2023-2025.
The southern ring road of Bielsk Podlaski will be constructed as single carriageway (two traffic lanes) with bituminous surface. Its location lies between the existing DK19 (exit from Bielsk Podlaski towards Siemiatycze) and DK66 (exit towards border crossing point in Połowce). There will be roundabouts in both these places. As part of this task, there will be constructed a viaduct over the rail tracks, a bridge over the Biała river passage for animals, and traffic safety equipment.
