WAT students gain opportunity for valuable internships at Unibep

The Military University of Technology (Wojskowa Akademia Techniczna, WAT) and the Polish construction company Unibep SA have signed a cooperation agreement. It is intended to facilitate the mutual exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as to enhance the qualifications of the University students through internships, traineeships, and other activities supporting their professional development.
The agreement was signed on 10 February 2026 at the Military University of Technology by the Rector-Commandant of Military University of Technology, Brigadier General Prof. Eng. Przemysław Wachulak and President of the Management Board of Unibep Andrzej Piotr Sterczyński.
“We are extremely pleased that students of the Military University of Technology will have the opportunity to develop their skills at Unibep SA. The university already cooperates with the Company in the field of construction projects, including the construction of the Centre for Innovation and Cybersecurity and another academic building. I would like to express my sincere thanks for this cooperation. I am pleased that students will now also benefit from it, particularly the students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy, where the civil engineering programme is offered, as well as students from other faculties and engineering programmes that address the needs of the construction sector. We ensure that our students, both military and civilian, have the opportunity to undertake internships and traineeships at the best companies, military units and institutions in Poland. Therefore, we continuously expand our internship and traineeship offerings, keeping in mind that after completing their studies at the Military University of Technology (WAT), our graduates can more easily navigate the very dynamic environment of the Polish labour market. The students of WAT are well-prepared academically, linguistically, and bring a strong motivation for professional development. And we support them in these opportunities,” said the Rector-Commandant of Military University of Technology, Brigadier General Prof. Przemysław Wachulak.
Unibep SA offers students of WAT the opportunity to gain insight into the realities of working in a construction company. As part of the cooperation, internships and traineeships, scientific seminars, and joint events such as conferences, training sessions, workshops, open lectures, and open days are planned. Company representatives announced their active involvement in initiatives supporting students and emphasised the importance of the scholarship programme.
“Supporting talented and committed students of technical universities is of great importance for the future of the construction sector. At Unibep, we have developed a comprehensive scholarship programme that significantly facilitates the start of young people’s professional careers in our industry. We thoughtfully support their career start by offering individual coaching, training, and paid internships. Importantly, our scholarship holders can also rely on continuous financial assistance during the academic year, as well as an additional benefit in the form of a specially designated Unibep Voucher. I am very pleased that students at the Military University of Technology will be able to take advantage of this programme. It is a university that has an undeniable contribution to the development of defence, science, and the economy in Poland,” said Andrzej Sterczyński, President of the Management Board of Unibep SA.
The university was also represented at the meeting by Dean of the Faculty of Electronics, Colonel Dr. Eng. Jan Kelner; Vice-Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Eng. Krzysztof Gocman; Vice-Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Cybernetics, Dr. Joanna Piasecka; and Aleksandra Benedykciuk from the Career Office.
From the company, the meeting was also attended by Vice-President of the Management Board Leszek Gołąbiecki, Director of Human Resources Aneta Andruszkiewicz, and Director of Special Construction Projects Piotr Kołodko.
Under the signed agreement, the Company will provide information about its offerings, support the development of the university, and strengthen cooperation, as well as ensure the necessary conditions for conducting internships. The Academy will make internship, traineeship, and job opportunities available to its students and graduates through the WAT Career Office channels, presenting the Company as a trusted employer. The WAT Career Office has invited the company to participate in the annual Job Fair organised by the University.
