A consortium including the Unibep Group has signed a contract to construct a railway siding for CPK

A consortium comprising the Unibep Group and Track Tec Construction has signed a contract with the Central Communication Port (CPK), which is implementing the Port Polska program, worth PLN 143.2 million gross for the design and construction of a railway siding, including associated works. The portion of the contract allocated to the Unibep Group is valued at PLN 71.6 million gross.
- “Signing this contract is an important step for us, confirming our readiness to carry out complex railway infrastructure projects under the design-and-build model. Infrastructure construction is becoming increasingly important for the Unibep Group: in Q1–3Q 2025 it accounted for 33% of sales, compared to 23% in 2024. The Group is expanding its portfolio of railway-related projects, and signing this contract represents a key milestone for further strengthening its expertise in this area. This is an investment of strategic importance for the country’s development, which is why our participation in this project, as well as our cooperation with our consortium partner, Track Tec Construction, is regarded both as an honour and a commitment to executing the project to the highest standards. We will carry out the work on this contract efficiently to ensure the smooth delivery of materials and equipment for the construction of the planned airport in the Baranów municipality, specifically for the execution of tasks related to the railway component. We hope that our determination in execution will be well received, leading to further cooperation and opening the way to additional contracts of a similar profile,” said Andrzej Sterczyński, President of Unibep.
The consortium was selected from 15 offers submitted in the tender procedure. The scope of the contract includes the design and construction of a railway siding, along with associated works and tasks in related specialties, including track, structural and construction, telecommunications, road, sanitary, electrical power, demolition, engineering structures, as well as geological and geotechnical works.
The consortium will carry out the project under a design-and-build formula: it will prepare the design documentation along with the required administrative approvals, then execute the construction works and secure the occupancy permit. The planned length of the railway siding will be approx. 5 km.
The work is scheduled to be completed no later than 36 months from the date of signing the agreement. The railway siding is crucial for the project: initially, it will be used to transport construction materials necessary for the airport, the railway hub, and the railway lines. Ultimately, it is planned that the siding will also serve as a fuel siding.
The investment is located in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, in Sochaczew County, within the municipalities of Teresin and Sochaczew.
