Raginisa Street officially opened for use

On 23 December 2024, the residents of Białystok gained a renovated and widened, over one-kilometre-long section of provincial road No. 676. Raginisa Street reconstructed by the Infrastructure Branch of Unibep, was officially opened for use, significantly improving the comfort and safety of traffic in this part of the city.
As part of the investment, a modern two-lane road with a bicycle path and pedestrian sidewalks was constructed, and the technical infrastructure was rebuilt. Adam Poliński, Vice President and Director of the Infrastructure Branch of Unibep, highlighted that the company has extensive experience in carrying out similar projects:
“Voivodeship road No. 676 is a special route for us: we have already carried out several significant investments here, including the Porosły junction and the Białystok-Supraśl section. We are pleased that also this project has been completed without any difficulties, on time, and in accordance with the highest standards.”
The strength of the team and the precise planning
The work on the construction of Raginisa Street began on 8 May 2023, with the groundbreaking. At a crucial moment on the construction site, over 100 people were involved, and an impressive quantity of materials were used in the project, including:
- 6,520 tons of AC22P mineral-asphalt mix
- 4,383 tons of MMA AC16W
- 2,237 tons of SMA
- 22,000 tons of aggregate
- 2,500 m³ of cement-stabilised aggregate
- 8,307 linear metres of concrete curb
- 6,605 m² of concrete sidewalk tiles
This scale of work required precise planning, which allowed for the efficient execution of the task.
City-changing investment
The total cost of the investment amounted to approx. PLN 37.7 million gross, and the outcome is not only better traffic capacity in this part of Białystok but also increased safety and comfort for residents, including drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.
Thanks to the new infrastructure, Raginisa Street is becoming a key element in the city’s transportation development, providing a convenient and safe connection both within Białystok and to other parts of the region, including quick access to Supraśl and surrounding towns.
