Fast and reliable solutions for Unihouse
During the conference, Unibep SA promoted sustainable modular construction solutions offered by its subsidiary, Unihouse SA. These solutions provide a fast and efficient method of construction in these areas of Ukraine where buildings ready for immediate use are needed. Modular construction of Unihouse is the answer to the urgent need for rebuilding residential and public utility infrastructure in devastated regions. And this is how conference participants viewed the modular products of Unihouse.
Platform for dialogue and cooperation
An integral part of the URC 2024 conference was the Reconstruction Forum, which served as an interactive platform for dialogue, matchmaking, and collaboration for stakeholders from Ukraine, Germany, and other countries. During the Reconstruction Forum, the following took place:
- Business Fair: The largest part of the Forum, where nearly 60 Ukrainian, German, and international companies showcased their services, products, and activities supporting the economic reconstruction of Ukraine.
- Municipal Fair: The heart of the Forum, featuring 25 stands from local and regional representatives from Ukraine, showcasing their initiatives for rebuilding, reconstruction, and promoting economic development.
- Dialogue space: An area for interaction and exchange among participants, featuring a main stage with a presentation programme, additional information stands, and meeting venues.
Over 600 company representatives at the URC 2024 conference
The URC 2024 brought together over 600 company representatives from Ukraine, Germany, and other countries, operating in sectors such as energy, healthcare, logistics, and defence, as well as representatives from municipalities and civil society. Unibep SA was one of the two Polish companies with a stand at the Business Fair.
During the event, numerous initiatives were presented, and cooperation agreements were signed, including new ventures such as the Skills Alliance for Ukraine and the small and medium-sized enterprises alliance.
Unibep in support of Ukraine’s swift accession to the EU
What is extremely important is that, for the first time, URC placed a special emphasis on social reconstruction, including areas such as education and health, as well as on the rebuilding of municipalities and regions. The co-host, Germany, introduced a new dimension to the conference by emphasising the necessity of reforms to ensure Ukraine’s swift accession to the EU. In around 30 panels, conference participants discussed various aspects of cooperation with Ukraine, all under the central theme: “United in Defence. United in Recovery. Stronger Together.”
“This conference was a unique opportunity to meet with representatives from governments, international organisations, financial institutions, businesses, regions, municipalities, and civil society, all united with a single purpose: supporting Ukraine. Although it is still too early to fully assess the outcomes of the conference, I am pleased that we were able to participate and collectively explore directions for future actions in the rebuilding effort. Such meetings are crucial for international cooperation in the reconstruction and modernisation of Ukraine,” summarised the event Tomasz Poskrobko, Foreign Markets Director at Unibep SA.
The Berlin conference is the third on the topic of Ukraine’s reconstruction since the beginning of the full-scale war in 2022. The previous conferences were held in Lugano (2022) and London (2023). And the 2025 conference will be held in Italy.
