On 10 July in Szczytno Municipality Office, the Infrastructure Branch of Unibep SA signed an agreement with Szczytno municipality for land development of industrial areas in the locality of Szymany (Warmian-Masurian Voivodship). The investment, worth approx. PLN 64 million gross (PLN 52 million net), aims to create the infrastructure necessary for industrial development on an area of almost 100 hectares. The deadline for the completion of the works is 18 months.
The purpose of this investment is to create a professional economic zone near the airport in Szymany. The planned industrial area will have full infrastructure, including roads, water and sewage, electricity, gas and ICT networks. The development of these industrial areas is crucial for attracting investors, creating new jobs, and stimulating the development of the local economy.
„We met the Voit exactly two years ago. Then, as the company of Unibep, we asked about the possibility of investing in the Warmian-Masurian region. It started with the idea that we wanted to build a bituminous mass production plant. We knew that this region is a prospective market. We are a Polish company, and we focus on eastern Poland (...). Two years ago, we succeeded, and, thanks to the Voit, we were able to set up a production plant in Lipowa Góra, and today thanks to that production plant we can enter tender bids and win them,” said Sławomir Moczydłowski..
