Second stage of Warszawski Świt completed!
In May this year, Unibep SA completed the construction of the second stage of Warszawski Świt investment located in Targówek district in Warsaw. The first and second stage completed by UNIBEP being its General Contractor offer a total of 388 new apartments. The investor of the project is Home Invest.
“Our task in the second stage of Warszawski Świt housing investment consists in constructing a multi-family residential building with an underground car park, technical infrastructure equipment, and elements of land development. The building, which is between five to eight storeys high, includes 124 apartments and 132 parking spaces,” said Norbert Korczyński, site manager at Unibep SA.
What is interesting is that the investment was built on the site of the former rail rolling stock repair workshops of Polish State Railways. This unusual location provided many challenges for the personnel working on the construction site.
“Preparing the grounds for construction was a complicated challenge due to the extensive utilities network of the area. We had to deal with locating and defining any potential issues and collisions, the occurrence of which at the construction stage would have significantly hindered and extended the work. Despite numerous obstacles that appeared in the beginning, we performed the task exceptionally well. We have completed the investment in accordance with the construction plan and on schedule. We will certainly use the engineering experience we have gained on this construction site in the future,” said Paweł Sztuka, contract manager at Unibep SA.
Warszawski Świt housing estate will consist of a complex of approx. 30 buildings located in an area of over 10 ha. The investment will comprise approx. 2 400 flats, meaning that it will be one of the largest housing estates in Warsaw.
“We are glad that this is yet another building within this investment created in cooperation of two Polish entities. The cooperation with the investor of Warszawski Świt housing estate, which is Home Invest, has been excellent, so we believe that more opportunities will arise to develop that cooperation on future projects,” said Vice President of the Management Board of Unibep SA Krzysztof Mikołajczyk.
The remuneration for completion of the agreement amounted to approx. PLN 30.65 million net.
