Unibep SA, one of the largest general contractors in the country, has celebrated today the official opening of its office in Racibórz. The meeting was attended by several dozen Presidents of companies partnered with Unibep. It was an excellent opportunity to present the broadened company offer and to exchange experiences related to power and industrial construction segment. Racibórz is the second city in Silesia where Unibep SA has decided to open an office. The first is located in Katowice

“This is a clear signal that the power and industry construction segment will be a significant part of Unibep Group’s operation,” said Przemysław Janiszewski. “We have ambitious plans both in Poland and further in the future. I believe that we will achieve our goals.”
Everyone stressed that Racibórz is the best location to open the office. There are competent people here and the “heart” of the power sector in Poland is within reach.
“Congratulations on opening your office. I am very pleased that such a company will operate in our city” said Dominik Konieczny. “Our residents will work in a country leading construction company. I hope that you will develop in Silesia region.”
“We have an excellent team of professionals,” summed up the meeting Jan Mikołuszko, chairman of the supervisory board of Unibep SA and also the largest shareholder of the company. “I am counting on the development of this segment of our business. We keep our fingers crossed.”
With future in mind
Why has Unibep decided to open another office in the south of Poland? The reason is the business potential of power and industrial construction industry.
“The energy market will be worth several hundred billion zloty by 2030 by the estimates. First of all, it is a stable market which, in my opinion, will grow. How come? Both the pressure of the European Union and the need to modernise the domestic energy sector will require prompt actions. Secondly, the dynamic increase in fuel prices means that the industry will look for new solutions and new technologies. All this forces changes to which the construction industry must respond,” said Przemysław Janiszewski, director of power and industry construction at Unibep SA.
What market segments are in the focus of Unibep SA? The company focuses on particular areas. They are: cogeneration projects, modernisation of energy sources to zero- and low-emission ones. It also covers help to local governments the with trash problems, and service and repairs. The industrial and logistics sector as well as heavy industry, chemical and petrochemical, remain in scope of interest. In order to achieve the intended plan, the company is developing a network of technological partners from the energy and industry sectors. It cooperates with suppliers of key components, i.e. steel structures, boilers, turbines, and gas engines.
In December 2021, Unibep SA established the power and industry construction segment. It is a response to market changes and customer needs.
“Our goals for the coming years are active participation in the transformation of the energy sector in Poland as well asd comprehensive implementation of industrial facilities. We want to be perceived on the market as a leader contractor who can be entrusted with construction of ambitious turnkey investments with all the required technology . If we prove that we can do big business in the power and industry sector in Poland, our competences will prove their worth on foreign markets, too. And this is exactly what we want to do,” said Leszek Gołąbiecki, president of Unibep SA.
