An agreement for the design and construction of the S61 expressway on the section Szczuczyn - Ełk South has been signed

The investment will be implemented by the Consortium of companies: PORR S.A. with its registered office in Warsaw, Porr Bau GmbH with its registered office in Vienna and UNIBEP SA.

On August 6, a contract was signed for the next section of the corridor Via Baltica called "The design and construction of the S61 express road Szczuczyn - Budzisko (national border), divided into tasks: Task No. 1: section Szczuczyn – Ełk South Junction”.

Ultimately, there will be 2 roadways with 2 lanes each and an emergency lane and service roads in the whole part. The total length of the section is to be 23.5 km. The investment implementation period is 29 months, excluding winter periods (15.12 - 15.03).
