Opening of Galeria Północna planned for mid-September
The opening of Galeria Północna, the first modern, large-area shopping centre in Warsaw’s Białołęka is scheduled on 14 September of this year. This is the biggest project being implemented by Unibep S.A.
Due to a number of queries concerning the time of opening of Galeria Północna, we are happy to announce that the facility will inaugurate its operation on Thursday, 14 September. On this day from 12:00, we invite you to get acquainted with Galeria Północna, avail yourself of the rich offer of shopping and entertainment facilities and to participate in numerous attractions planned for the opening - says Piotr Kroenke, General Director of GTC S.A. in Poland. - The last finishing works are carried out on the construction site, we are developing leisure zones and greenery around the shopping centre, the majority of shops are almost ready to receive customers. All of this is done to provide the residents of the north part of Warsaw with the possibility of doing shopping in the first modern shopping centre in their area.
The construction of Galeria Północna, the fourth-generation centre in the north of Warsaw, was started in the mid-2015. In few weeks, about 64 thousand sq. m of commercial area and more than 2 thousand park places will be placed at the customers’ disposal. More than 750 thousand people, mostly the young ones and families with children, live in the indirect vicinity of Galeria Północna. Thus, the GTC Group has made every endeavour to meet the expectations of those groups both in the scope of commercial offer as well as architectural design of the building. The attractions of Galeria Północna include: the first green-roof park with a beautiful garden enabling leisure close to nature, recreational areas such as skate-park and outdoor gym, bicycle park and repair station and numerous facilities for families with children, among other things, family rooms, toilets adapted to the needs of young customers, a playground and a child zone on the food court. The facility will be also furnished with one on the best monitored, and, at the same time, the safest car parks amongst all shopping centres in Warsaw.
The general contractor of the project is Unibep S.A. It is worth mentioning that the cornerstone for the project took place in September 2015, and in the next year - in September 2016 - the investor, general contractor and all involved in the development of the shopping centre, took part in the topping out of the building.
