Signing another agreement: Heat and power enterprise in Ełk

The Power and Industry Construction Division at Unibep SA signed an agreement for implementation of the task called “Replacement of the WR-25 coal-fired boiler with a biomass boiler fired with woodchips and construction of a fuel storage facility and accompanying infrastructure in a heating plant in Ełk - delivery and assembly of the boiler, construction of the biomass boiler house facilities”.

The General Contractor will perform the task together with Energotechnika Sp. z o. o. (Consortium Partner) on behalf of Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej w Ełku Sp. z o.o. The completion of the Investment is planned for the first quarter of 2024.

The aforementioned agreement is the second investment in the energy sector that Unibep will implement in Ełk. A few weeks ago, the company concluded an agreement with Spółdzielnia Mieszkaniowa “Świt”, a housing cooperative from Ełk, for which it will build a boiler house using thermal energy from burning biomass. It is worth adding that Unibep will also modernise two existing boiler houses and build a new one in Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej in Hajnówka.

The remuneration of the General Contractor for implementation of the investment amounts to approx. PLN 25.55 million net.

As a result of the conclusion of the agreement with Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej in Ełk, the estimated value of the backlog in Power and Industry Construction Division in the fourth quarter of 2022 and for subsequent years is approx. PLN 700 million net.
