Unibep SA: the first contract in the public-private partnership formula

On 28 May 2021, a consortium of companies consisting of Unibep PPP Sp. z o.o., based in Bielsk Podlaski (Consortium Leader) and Unibep SA based in Bielsk Podlaski (Consortium Partner) concluded an agreement with the Małkinia Górna municipality (Public Partner) for implementation of the task called "Construction of social housing in the municipality of Małkinia Górna in the formula of public-private partnership". This is the first agreement of this type signed by Unibep Group and also the first agreement in Poland in that formula for construction of social housing.

According to the agreement, Unibep SA will design and construct a municipal building in modular technology. It will comprise 44 residential premises. The building will be located on a real estate located in Małkinia Górna. After construction, the company will provide maintenance services for the investment.

The municipality's contribution is provision of the land property on which the investment will be implemented. The financing of the investment will be provided by Unibep Group in the form of either own funds or external financing.

As part of the implementation of the agreement, two stages can be distinguished:

– The construction works stage lasting 24 months from the agreement conclusion

– The maintenance stage lasting 120 months from the completion of construction works

The total value of the remuneration is approx. PLN 9.1 million net. The remuneration will be paid separately for the construction works stage and the maintenance stage in equal monthly instalments for the next 10 years, starting from the end of the construction works stage.

The investment will be implemented in wooden technology, and the building will be manufactured in the Factory of Modular Houses of Unihouse SA in Bielsk Podlaski.
