Unibep builds a shopping arcade in Cieszyn

Unibep SA has started the development of the Galeria Stela shopping arcade in Cieszyn. It is the first such contract for the Bielsk-based company in southern Poland.

“The site is fenced off, we're starting to work”, says Aloizy Malczak, the Director of Unibep SA responsible for obtaining investments in the south of Poland. “According to the schedule, in the second quarter of next year, the residents of Cieszyn will be able to shop in this arcade”, he adds.

Katarzyna Czajkowska, spokeswoman for the INBAP fund, which is an investor, says that the gallery is in the inner centre of the city, at the junction of Hajduka and Bobrecka Streets, on the site of the former Bus Station, and adjacent to the main railway station. Galeria Stela will have an area of over 11,000 sq.m., and will host, among others, H&M, Martes Sport, CCC, RTV Euro AGD, Pepco, Hebe Chemists, Diverse, Briju jeweller's, BigStar, Matras bookshop, Play, Świat Zabawek, Trafica, and Młynek Café. A large grocery store will be also located there.

In Unibep's portfolio there are several large shopping centres – for instance Galeria Alfa in Białystok and Plaza in Suwałki. Currently, they are finishing the vast Galeria Północna in Warsaw, and are building a similar centre across our eastern border, in Grodno in the Republic of Belarus.
