Topping out ceremony of the Szmaragdowe Housing Estate

The topping out ceremony of the Szmaragdowe Housing Estate was attended by over 100 people.

The Szmaragdowe Housing Estate is located in the Białołęka district, Warsaw, in the area of ul. Talrowa and ul. Ceramiczna. The whole project includes three residential units (3 stages), a total of 10 buildings with commercial premises on the ground floor and underground garages. Each apartment unit will have a recreation courtyard designed on the roofs of garages. There are some green areas in the nearest vicinity i.e. the Tarchomin Dunes and the Jordanowski Garden.

3 building will be developed in the first stage of the investment, which are planned to include 119 apartments (a total of 7 528 m²) and two commercial premises (192 m² in total). The buildings will have from 4 to 6 floors above ground and one underground floor. There will be a total of 146 parking spaces. The implementation period of the investment is the fourth quarter of 2015 - the first quarter of 2017. The investor is the Warsaw Housing Cooperative, and the general contractor is Unibep from Bielsko Podlaskie.

The "topping out" ceremony was held on June 2, 2016 at the highest point of the building as part of the first stage of the project. Topping out is a very important construction tradition. Customarily the completion of an important stage of the construction of a house was celebrated, that is, the positioning of the roof structure’s last element. The ceremony was an opportunity to meet together and thank all the participants of the work for their effort. Currently, in the case of the implementation of large investments, this celebration is organised after the completion of works connected with the building structure. The ceremony was attended by over 100 people, mostly construction workers and supervisors, representatives of the investor and invited guests.
