The foundation stone for Rondo Wiatraczna

The ceremony of blessing and laying the foundation stone for the "Rondo Wiatraczna" project took place on June 15, 2016.

The residential, office and service building is being constructed in Warsaw's Praga-Południe district, where Universam Grochów was previously located. The investor is a consortium created by the development company Dantex and WSS Społem Praga Południe. The general contractor is Unibep SA from Bielsko Podlaskie.

"Rondo Wiatraczna", under construction at the intersection of ul. Grochowska, al. Stanów Zjednoczonych and al. Waszyngtona, will be a structure characterised by a higher standard and modern architecture, consisting of three parts: a 9-storey and two 18-storey buildings.

The lower floors, with a total usable area of 11 000 m² , will be the location of a shopping centre, and the restores neon signs Universam „Grochów” i Praga Południe will hang on the building. More than 2,500 m² will be used by the Społem supermarket, which after a break in the investment will return to Rondo Wiatraczna to continue the commercial activity it started in 1977.

The investment involves the construction of 470 residential apartments with various surface areas: 28 m² for one-room apartments, 33 m² for two rooms, 50 m² for three rooms and 70 m² for four-room apartments. Over 20 percent of the apartments have been sold to date. There is to be a patio on the fourth floor. 1.5 thousand m² of office and retail space is also planned. The building will include not only the Społem supermarket, but also clothing stores, interior design showrooms, beauty supply stores, flower shops, pharmacies, a library, a laundry service, a hairdresser, bank branches and food courts. A fitness club is also planned to be opened.

The building’s planned date of commissioning is the fourth quarter of 2017.
