The Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP) Base under the patronage of Unibep SA

On 13 July 2017, Unibep S.A. was appointed an official partner of the scoutmaster Tadeusz Czaczkowski’s Sailing Base in Rydzewo, the facility run by the ZHP Scout Troop in Bielsk Podlaski. Hundreds of young people from the whole country practice there the art of sailing every year.

Unibep SA has been supporting the ZHP Scout Troop in Bielsk Podlaski for years. This includes both financial as well as voluntary support - construction workers carry of renovations, help in improving living standards of the base in Rydzewo.

A special assembly dedicated to the cooperation between scouts and guides and Unibep SA took place on 13 July. More than 170 persons, mainly young people, but also clergy, the heads of the ZHP Scout Troop and Unibep S.A. took part in the event.

- Thank you for help you have already provided us with, I hope that now, when our cooperation will be much closer, we will jointly manage to improve residence conditions of young people. We have already done a lot - Rydzewo is one of the best places in Poland where you can learn how to sail. Nevertheless, we are going to develop this place, because sailing is not only a water sport, but also a way of life based on knowledge and responsibility - said the scoutmaster,  Dariusz Kośko, a regional leader of ZHP Scout Troop in Bielsk Podlaski.

- Passion is one of the values we consider the most important in Unibep. Sailing is also a passion, which brings a lot of joy but also considerably develops our personality. We are proud that we can work with such an ambitious young generation. We all need this a lot - said Jan Mikołuszko, President of the Supervisory Board of Unibep SA during the assembly.

Since 13 July, yachts from the base in Rydzew, which sails bear the logos of ZHP and Unibep SA, have been travelling through the water of the Masuria lakes. A special board describing the history of the ZHP sailing centre in Rydzewo was located in the base premises. The flags of ZHP Scout Troop in Bielsk Podlaski and Unibep S.A. flutter in the air above the board.
